Trade Mission to Nova Scotia, Canada

Canada has become a world leader in engineering products and services suited to extreme harsh ocean environments, marine remote sensing technologies, and ocean observing systems. More than half of Canada’s $30bn ocean economy is anchored in Atlantic Canada, including the key province of Nova Scotia. Atlantic Canada and Nova Scotia, in particular, is home to a strong cluster of ocean industries and to ground breaking ocean research. the region is quickly becoming a globally recognised hub of oceans expertise with the potential to be a significant contributor to a number of Global Value Chains associated with the oceans sector. Sensor IT has been selected by Innovate UK for a trade mission to Nova Scotia that will take place in June 2023, representing the UK, as part of a cohort of 14 innovative companies. We will be establishing collaboration R&D agreements, as well as seeking new market opportunities for our technology in the Agricultural and Marine sectors. Sensor IT and Agritec

Sensor IT has just been selected by Barclays Bank Eagle Labs and the University of Lincoln for their cutting-end AgriTec accelerator. The programme runs over twelve weeks and covers aspects as important as Business Plans and Route to Market. We are immensely proud of this achievement, and to us it is an indication that we are going in the right direction and ticking the right boxes. You can find more information on the program using the links below: https://iuk.ktn-uk.org/opportunities/10×10-agritech-accelerator-2022 https://news.lincoln.ac.uk/2022/12/16/university-of-lincoln-and-barclays-eagle-labs-launch-agritech-accelerator Participants also benefit from the cutting-edge facilities and various services at the new Barclays Eagle Lab Farm – based at the University of Lincoln’s Riseholme campus. They will also gain access to the UK-wide Eagle Labs network and exclusive community events. The accelerator was greatly successful in 2021, when twelve diverse and innovative agricultural businesses were selected for the programme. It is worth mentioning that this is not a new vertical for Sensor IT. We have already developed a range of prototypes in this sector, from monitoring devices through to actuators targeting automation, increase of productivity and efficiency in Agricultural applications. Sensor IT, as with everything we do, has invested considerable time in developing unique solutions that can be deployed in an IoT setting, for applications that include Vineyards, Olive Groves and others. Watch this space, we will be providing updates as we progress through this amazing opportunity.
